Friday's Letters

I'm struggling getting the code to work, so if you are looking to link-up with Friday's Letters go here.

Looking to link up for Foxy Friday? Go here.

If you're looking for Friday's Letters? You came to the right place.

Dear Spiders in the Hallway, don't think I didn't notice that you have multiplied overnight. And I KNOW I am outnumbered. Seriously though, watch your back. Because as soon as that little thing in Big A's brain kicks in that tells him I have asked him to do something 12,000 times and he should finally do it? You're toast. Be afraid. Very afraid. We're at 11,999. Your days are numbered.

Dear Karma, seriously. What's with the effing spiders? Did I do something wrong?

Dear Fat Kid Living Inside Me, I understand that we have lots of events coming up. Lots of cookouts, parties, etc. I need you to keep your cool. The wedding is only 71 days away and I need to stay on track. If you so choose to get out of line, I WILL cut you. Got it?

Dear Bank Account, we made it two whole weeks without getting yelled at for sucking at life. Let's stay on this positive note, shall we?

Dear Baby M, thank you for being oh so very adorable yesterday, even when you were a little bit cranky. Auntie loves you and don't forget that. Also, don't listen to your daddy when he asks you why your "favorite" aunt hasn't visited. He's just trying to start trouble.

Dear Jackums, thank you for bringing Baby M into my life. I can just tell that we are going to be BFF's. I can wait to teach her crazy things to bug you with!

Dear Work, I know longer find you enjoyable or mentally challenging. In fact, I'm pretty effing bored. And while I enjoy the extra time to eff off, at some point in the week I would like to actually feel like I EARN my paycheck. With that being said... give me a raise and I will stop complaining.

Dear Veronica Mars, why are you so addicting? I have to watch you EVERY day. You're lucky that Big A thinks you're cute because otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to watch you as much. I just have one request... can you be real and I be your crime solving partner? I wanna use crazy spy gear and look through people's e-mails.

Dear Blog, please re-design yourself. I am broke and have no blog designing skils. Ready? Go!

Dear New Followers, HEY! So happy that you could be here!

Alright peeps. That's it for today. I have about 5 more hours where I have to concentrate on pretending to work and then I need to break out my drinking shoes for Pickles' birthday celebration tonight.

Now... what are your Friday's Letters? Write 'em out and link 'em up!Photobucket

Foxy Friday

Down at Fraggle Rock

Hello Lovelies!

And welcome to another Foxy Friday!

There are a lot of new followers this week, so I figured I would start with a bit of an introduction to what Foxy Friday actually is.

Back in January, Blogger Extraorindaire Kristen started Firm Fridays. We had all got a little crazy over the holidays and it was time to get our acts together. Now, Kristen lives in Florida... so while I had the beauty of imagining bathing suit season months and months away, she has it all year round.

I had been wanting to get myself back into shape for a LONG time. I had put on quite a bit of "love pounds" since starting to date Big A a bagillion years ago, and I really wanted to start feeling good about myself. Not to mention I was to be wearing the most unflattering color in the entire world in just 9 months.

So, I hoped on board. In fact, here's my first post. (Try not to scream at the "before" picture). I did Firm Fridays for awhile until Kristen stopped doing them. I mean, check that girl in a bikini. She doesn't need it. My muffin top told me I should go ahead and keep going. (What?! Your excess fat doesn't speak to you at time? Strange.)

Thus Foxy Friday was born. Something to keep me on track. Something to hold me accountable. Something that could link a bunch of women together who were going through the same thing. It had really helped me to have encouragement from my fellow blog lovahs when I was having a hard week. Or even if I had a bomb ass week, it was nice to get a pat on the back.

So, here we are. I've slacked a bit since losing the first (almost) 20 pounds, so I am trying to get myself back on track since I still have about 10 to go. (And not to mention my dress fitting is in 15 days. EEK!)

So for this week... here's my progress.
Nada. Zilch. Nothing.

I'm hoping to see at least a little something, but I wasn't awesome this week. I drank two nights out of the week and let's not even talk about the Bacon & Onion pizza I shoved down my throat on date night. I know what I did wrong though, so I know what to fix.

I am, however, declaring this week as a win though. For two reasons:

1. I have done my 300 Ab Challenge Without fail. And oh baby Can I feel it. I'm hoping to have some progress pics for you next week. I took some when I first started it a couple weeks ago. I'm hoping that since I am actually sticking to it now, there will be some result.

2. This week damn near killed me. Seriously. I don't know if I went too heavy on my workout on Monday, or if everything is just catching up to me. But I am exhausted. Like barely being able to walk, wanna stay home and cry in my pillow, almost falling asleep while driving to work, exhausted. BUT... I went to the gym Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday. Despite how I felt, I still got my ass there. I didn't plan on going yesterday since I had plans to catch up with Jackums and Baby M (best friends and cute babies trump workouts every.time.)

I'm proud of myself for sticking through it. Even when I didn't feel like it. I just kept asking myself, "How bad do you really want this?"

Plus it helps that there is this like 8 month pregnant chick that comes into my gym and kills it on the elliptical. Seriously, she looks amazing. She's my hero. I want to be here when I grow up and become crazy enough to pro-create!

Lastly... because I'm sure you haven't read enough of my blabber, I bought this last week:

It is a tape measurer. (Duh!) But you wrap it around the body part that you want to measure, and then hook it into that slot on the right, and press the button. The tape measurer then tightens around the body part so that you can get an accurate measurement.

Seriously. It is amazing. I struggle sometimes with holding onto the tape measurer, especially when I am doing my arm since it is one-handed. So this was awesome. And it was uber cheap. You can find it here. (And no, no one sponsored this, I just love it and wanted to pass it along)

Alright Bishes... now it is your turn. How did you do this week? Do we have any new members this week? Jump on the band wagon. Let us know how FOXY you can be! Now link-up!

(And if you haven't entered the "I DO" Shoe Crystal Giveaway, you still have time. Go here. Winner will be announced on Monday!)

Date Night: Improved

Last week I wrote this post about Big A and I's date night.

Big A and I have a good thing going. (Well duh! otherwise we wouldn't be getting married!) We do. I can honestly say that we are absolute best friends. We have a blast together and most of the time our relationship just goes with the flow.

But sometimes, we take for granted how good we have it and forget that sometimes we need to put in a little extra work to get things back on track. I hate saying the word work though. Maybe effort? Commitment? I don't know the word I am looking for, but you get it.

So, I had decided, and Big A agreed, that we needed to do a little something more with our weekly date night. Sitting in front of the TV with both of us on computers, barely talking doesn't cut it. Maybe for a regular night, but not date night.

A month or two ago, I got an e-mail from Groupon. Which I stalk daily, but I never actually buy anything. I saw an advertisement for 2 hours of bowling for 2 people for $15 and thought... hmmm... that sounds like fun. We all know bowling can get on the expensive side, so I figured what can you lose with $15 right? So I bought it and it has sat on our fridge ever since.

Until last night. We finally made it out. Anyone who knows Big A, knows it is like pulling teeth to get him to do anything outside of his normal routine, but once you actually GET him there, he has a blast (usually).

And you know what? We had SO much fun. Usually, we are uber competitive. It's bad. We both HATE losing. And it can sometimes turn into an issue (I know. I know. We are 12) But we had a GREAT time!!!

Especially since I kicked his ass all 5 games!

Yeah I took pictures. "Someone" skipped to the next game before I could get a pic of the first one.
At one point in two games we were tied and it was at 44 both times!

At first, Big A was a little annoyed he wasn't doing better. (And I may or may not have been rubbing it in his face) But I told him that he was taller than me, faster than me, and stronger than me. He could beat me at any REAL sport, just let me have bowling. That's all I gots. (And mini-golf. He's NEVER beat me at mini-golf). After that he seemed to be fine.

Big A also decided that he was going to be my Bowling Pimp and I would be his Bowling Hoe. Then we would go to the bowling alleys and scam people out of money. Haha. The crazy things he comes up with! I tried to explain that it wasn't that I was that good, it was that he was that bad. Haha.

AND I totally ruined my diet by drinking beer and eating pizza. But you know what... I don't really care. I had the BEST time with Big A and it was worth the extra calories. (Plus did you know that according to MyFitnessPal two hours of bowling burns 445 calories? Don't know if it is true, but I'm believing it!)

That's all for today folks! Just wanted to thank everyone for entering the "I DO" shoe crystal giveaway yesterday. I can't believe how many people entered! I thought there would be like one person. Haha.

Haven't entered yet? You still have time! You can enter until Sunday night, I will be picking the winner Monday morning. Go here to find out how to enter!

"I Do" Shoe Crystal Giveaway

I've been engaged for a little over a year now and have spent a good portion of that time searching for the most amazing wedding ideas I can find. (Let's be honest... it started before the engagement..shhhh!)

Something I have been focusing on lately is finding those little things that will make for great photo ops.

If there's an amazing wedding picture out there? I've stalked it. Pinned it. Saved it. Printed it.

One new craze that I have LOVED is the "I Do" shoe crystals. You put them on the bottom of your wedding shoes and use them for pics.

Umm... rhinestone? I'm all over this one.

So I searched for the PERFECT ones and finally found them on Mindy's shop Your Happily Ever After.

Seriously?! How did people plan weddings before Pinterest and Etsy?

Check them out for yourself.

An example of all the bomb colors she has available.

Seriously?! How amazing is this pic?!

LOVE the pop of color with these shoes!

It could even be your "Something Blue"

I ordered mine and got it within a few days. I LOVE when I get things quick, I'm an instant gratification kind of girl. The product? AMAZING!

And for you lucky ducks, Mindy has offered to giveaway one set of her blue, scripted "I DO" shoe crystals!

Who wouldn't want this?

So here's the deal. You wanna enter the giveaway, you can do the following: (and leave a comment for each one)

1. You MUST be a follower of this blog: 1 entry
2. Like "Down at Fraggle Rock's" Facebook Page: 1 entry
3. Like Your Happily Ever After 's Facebook Page: 1 entry
4. Blog about the giveaway: 1 entry (don't forget to leave the link in the comment)
5. Go to Your Happily Ever After and tell me what your favorite item is: 1 entry

I will announce the winner on Monday, July 2nd!

Know a friend who is currently planning her wedding? Pass the word along!

So What! Wednesday

I'm linking up with my girl Shannon for So What! Wednesday!

This week I am saying So What! if...

* I am uber jealous of all of the people who get vacation for the 4th of July. I mean... I know I get the actual 4th off, but it seems like a lot of our friends have the whole week off. Big A has a week and a half off (of course he deserves it though), and N has TWO weeks off (she does not deserve it, she's just a biatch. hehe I kid I kid). When I hear everyone talking about vacation I just want to punch them in the face get so jealous!

* I'm supposed to be writing a story about our office moving buildings, but I haven't done it yet. And we have been here for like 3 weeks. A) I just got the info I needed yesterday and B) it seems about as much fun as poking myself in the eye repeatedly. Ug.

* The only reason I went to the gym yesterday was because I was STARVING when I got home from work and decided 4:30 was too early for dinner. It was either stay home and snack like crazy, or go somewhere where I couldn't shove food in my face.

* I would literally pay someone a million dollars to let me take a nap underneath my desk. I.AM.EXHAUSTED. I so wanted to call out sick today and catch up on my sleep.

* I started counting down the days until the weekend on Monday. I'm so done with work. I think we need to go on a break for awhile.

* I can't even deal with the fact that Sunday will be July 1st. Where the hell is time going?

* I'm also counting down the days until I get to see the movie "Magic Mike".
Seriously?! Hot DAMN!
(Oh and Big A knows all about this. And teases me on a daily basis going "Oh Channing, it's me Kayleigh, I looooove you" Ass.)

* I want to hide a dead fish in one of my co-workers filing cabinets. If I do it on a Friday it will be crazy stinky by the time we come in Monday because they don't turn the AC on over the weekend. However, I don't want to smell it...sooo...I won't. (Oh, and not wanting to get fired is a good reason for not doing it too!) But seriously... she deserves it.

* I have slacked SO much with the 300 Ab Challenge. And I feel better that everyone else has too! I started doing it again on out...rock hard abs coming your way!

Alrighty... I'm going to go practice sleeping with my eyes open. You all should head on over to Shannon's blog and link up!

Oh...and I will post about the giveaway too! I just didn't want to miss out on So What! Wednesday!!!

Wedding Update: Invitations

Hello my Lovelies!

I figured that it has been awhile since I have shown you pictures of Wedding stuff.

And seeing as how I have had these pictures saved in this post for over a week, it is about time that I posted them.

Also, I apologize for my lack of photographing skill. I was just happy that I learned how to take the picture and edit them so you could actually see what it said! Haha. Baby steps...

Anywho... here they are!

Our wedding colors are red, black, and a dark silver (mother if you call it chrome, I will smack you :) hehe) so I went with a dark silver envelope to accent the invitation colors. There is a slight sheen to it, but the color is pretty flat. I wanted something with a little more glitz, but beggers can't be choosers I suppose.

I ordered the invitations from Michaels online. I had fallen absolutely madly in love with them when we first got engaged and refused to let go of the thought that they would one day be mine. I waited and ended up getting sent a 30% off coupon right around the time we wanted to order. It was fate. I got what I wanted and Big A liked all the money we saved. Win win.

The invitations are pocket invitations. So we put them all together, folded them up, and then uses black satin ribbon to close them up, but to also accent then. The monogram is from this site. (If you order them, do yourself the favor and order them cut, TRUST ME it is worth the $3!) I then purchased some dark silver glittery paper and stuck the monogram to it, and then stuck that to the ribbon.

The inside of the invitation.

It took me FOREVER to decide on the wording, but my friend Kelli helped me and I couldn't have done it with out her. My favorite part is the first line, "This day we begin the adventure of a lifetime"... oh yeah and the part where I see mine and my best friend's names on a wedding invitation is pretty effing cool too! (Also, you can completely customize everything on these. Font, size, color, wording, etc. It was great to not have to settle for something THEY thought was right. You pick your pocket and envelope colors too!)

Response & Accomodation Cards.

I seriously owe it to my bridesmaids and of course N for helping me put these together. You had to use these little circle sticky things (is there a technical term for them?) and put the invitation on the pocket, put on the eight million stamps (postage is expensive!!!), and then stuff the pockets. The real bitch was putting on the ribbon. That took FOREVER! I put the monograms on the backing ahead of time because I knew that would be annoying. It was really easy to do just sitting watching TV. (And I am super OCD and wanted them to be perfectly centered... yes I'm psycho!)

Speaking of OCD, I really have to thank my bridesmaids and N for dealing with that too. I'm uber particular in how I want things and they definitely got that. Big A and I had also dropped a serious penny on these invitations, so it was great that they fully understood how much it meant to me that they look just right.

And of course, it all paid off because I have heard nothing but good things about them! It was so exciting to hear from everyone about how much they loved them! And I really think that invitations set the mood for the wedding, and I still believe that these were the most absolute PERFECT ones for that. It is like they were made for us and our wedding!

So that's that. Papa is still working on our signs (wonder where I get being a perfectionist from?) so I can't wait until those are done so I can show you. I plan on starting to put together our card box soon (as soon as my lazy butt can get to the fabric store), and I've got a few more DIY tricks up my sleeve.

EEK! This wedding ish is getting real! I'm SO SO SOOOOO excited!
74 Days!!!!

OOH! Also, check back tomorrow. It will be my FIRST giveaway! And it is something special for all of you future brides out there! I am so excied about this one. Spread the word! All girls planning their weddings will want this!

Comment Challenge: About ME

I know I already posted today, but I just came across this and I think it is a GREAT idea.

What better way to find new blogs! So, of course I am joining! And you should too!

This is how it works.

1. Go to Jenna's Blog and link back to this post.
2. Write a Blog post for each day. Jenna will be providing a topic each day by 8:00 AM CT on her blog. You can choose to blog about the topic, or you can pick something on your own.
3. Comment on 10 blogs (more or less is fine too) per day.
4. If you find a blogger you love, add them to your blogroll.

Super simple and a great way to meet new people.

So, here's my "About Me" post, which is the topic for today!

My name is Kayleigh. I'm 26 years old and I live in Massachusetts with my Fiance Big A and our adorable little Border Collie who I refer to as Mr. Fresh (he prefers to stay anonymous haha).
Here we are at a recent wedding

An after-party of another wedding. I can only get him to take pictures at special events.

Mr. Fresh. I've had him since I was 15. He's my little buddy and quite honestly one of the most amazing animals I have ever met.

This was right after we got engaged. Excuse the hot mess face, I was bawling my eyes out.

One of our Engagement pics

We are currently in the middle of planning our wedding that will take place on September 8th!!! 75 Days! It is insane. If you want to read about the whole process you can go here. It has our Engagement Story, and all of the updates over the past year or so.

Right now almost everything is about the wedding. And then trying to plan for the after...ya know... buying a house... settling down... having kids. Planning our happily ever after! But for now we are just trying to stay sane and find time to do some fun things that don't require seating charts or DIY projects!

I started blogging almost 2 years ago as a way to keep in touch with my family who didn't live so close! I have cousins in Georgia, Louisiana, and almost my dad's entire family still lives in Ireland. So it was a great way to keep everyone posted. And now it is a great way to share our wedding planning process!!!

Hope you like my little space on the world wide web!

Weekend Update

This weekend was QUITE the weekend. We were B.U.S.Y.

And by busy I mean that we spent most of the beginning of the weekend preparing for the wedding we were going to on Saturday, and then the rest of the weekend recovering.

Yeah. Apparently I can't hang. This was made very clear by the migraine that I had ALL DAY yesterday, which resulted in my changing into my PJs at 6:30 at night and sitting in the dark bedroom with a cold wash cloth on my head.

I think I had too much fun.

Anyway. I took as many pictures as I could, but my camera died a little after dinner during the reception. And the couple of pictures I did take at the reception... no one wants to see. Oy!

Big A and I all dolled up.

J$ and Ry-dizzle (he was in the wedding)

A few pictures from the ceremony.

We were super lucky and the rain held off for the ceremony. It rained for maybe about 20 minutes and then was beautiful for the rest of  the night.

It was a fun night. Everyone looked great all dressed up. The Bride & Groom looked absolutely amazingly in love. And I may or may not have cried like a baby. (It happens. I love love.)

I'm so incredibly happy for these two that they had such a beautiful, amazing, and special day!

Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. L!!!

Friday's Letters

Looking for Foxy Friday? Go here!

I've been trying like hell to get that button to work.

Thank you Blogger for finally stopping being a pain in my (proverbial) balls and working.

Anywho... Friday's Letters. Let's do this!

Dear Tacos, Please be warned that it has been a long time since I have had one of you. Consider this your heads up that I plan to ravage you later. I've been singing the "Taco Song" since 8:00 AM. It's on Baby. Get ready!

Dear Self, when you start talking dirty to food (like tacos) it is time to get some professional help.

Dear Mrs. C, thank you for FINALLY having your baby. I can't wait to meet Baby L and I promise not to hog him too much. Well... I promise to try not to hog him too much.

Dear Building Owners, please be advised that the next time you put up a tent, a bounce house, and a giant cooler filled with alcohol and DON'T invite me... then I will be THAT guy and crash the party! I am a good time, trust me, you want me at your party. I don't care if it isn't for my company.

Dear Job Market, please for the love of God stop sucking so much. I need a new job, career, pay scale, environment, whatever, ASAP. Fix yourself by the time the wedding rolls around. Thanks Bitch!

Dear New Boss, thank you for not saying anything (yet) about me not going to your staff meeting. It isn't anything personal, but the thought of sitting for 6 hours for the second time this week, makes me want to cause physical harm to myself purely so I can get out of it. I will throw myself down the stairs. Please think of our safety statistics before you comment on this. Thanks.

Dear Summer, you are finally here! I'm so excited. I plan to make sure that you and I are best friends. With that being said... please don't take it personally that I kind of want you to fly by... I am getting married after all. And we all know I'm impatient.

Dear Mr. Fresh, I understand that I was playing with your tail last night, but that was no excuse to scratch me in the neck. I know you are going to say it was an "accident" and that you were just trying to get my attention, but we all know what you really did. And second, if you don't want me playing with your tail then move out of my personal space. Got it. Love you!

Dear Big Ugly Spiders in the Hallway, I see you multiplying. And I know you are after me. But before you attack, please remember my ninja skills that killed your brother when he tried to land on my head yesterday. I will do the same to you. You have been warned.

Alright Lovers. That's all I gots for today.

Although I do have a very exciting FIRST giveaway opportunity they may or may not be coming up next week! I'm SUPER excited.

Foxy Friday

Down at Fraggle Rock
Since I kept thinking that yesterday was Friday, I feel like I EARNED today.
Longest week ever. And I was off Monday. Which I think sometimes makes it worse, because short weeks always drag.on.forever.
Anywho...if my goal for the past week was to suck ass at my diet/exercise plan, then I succeeded. Woo hoo!
I was bad on Friday, Saturday, parts of Sunday, and of course the work on Monday.
Way to go me!
I don't expect to see anything serious when I weigh in tomorrow. I am expecting a big ass goose egg of a loss. I know what I did. I need to get back on. And be serious.
Like, stop taking it easy all.weekend.long. kind of serious. Which Big A hates. Because while he supports my mission, sometimes he just wants me to eat a big juicy cheeseburger with him. I think it makes him feel less guilty about pigging out when I join him. Either that or he can feel my death stares when he is eating something yummy and I am eating might be scaring him a bit.
Anywho... I tried to get back on the horse on Wednesday. I think I did pretty good.
Here's a screen shot from MyFitnessPal for Wednesday and Thursday

So, I got my shit back together, but I don't think that two days is really going to do much.

One thing I have noticed, is my ability to be able to run again. After suffering through the most painful shin splints ever known to man (seriously, I know I sound like a baby, but I could barely walk. It was horrible!) I met with the personal trainer at my gym for a preliminary assessment, which came free with the membership. I told her about my problem and she told me to buy new shoes. (Yep, heard that one before). But I figured I would finally give it a whirl.

I talked to the woman at the shoe store, tried on about 8 billion different shoes (oh how much she loved me) and was guaranteed that I could return them if they sucked.

And you know what? I LOVE them. I have had NO problem whatsoever with running. No problem running back to back days. No problem when I increase speed, incline, whatever. It's been a dream. Which is good because, I actually started to miss running. I know *gasp* who knew?
Here they are. I think they are hideous, but they are a dream. They are Mizunos if you were wondering.

And finally... the results of the week. I actually started off at like 182.somethingorother so MFP says I have lost 19.somethingorother, so naturally it kills me to see 18.4, but whatever.

My goals for next week are to:
  1. Not eat like a heffer
  2. Get my ass to the gym at least 4-5 days
  3. Take the dog for a walk at least twice (weather permitting, it's been to hot for him)
  4. Drink more water
Next goal weight, is I want to be down 5 more pounds by the time I go for my dress fitting on July 14th. Which means I have 22 days to do so. I don't think that is so bad of a goal.

That's only 1.6 pounds a week (ish). Not bad.

Alright, enough about me. How did you all do this week?

Thursday, June 21, 2012 pictures

Apparently my lack of energy, effort, interest, etc. has transferred over to the blogosphere, because I JUST sat here for about a half an hour and tried to figure out what the hell to write about.

I mean...there's no wedding update... (still waiting for about 75 responses...send 'em back people!) It is the middle of the week so nothing exciting is going on... Big A and I didn't go bowling last night...(he HAD to go to Walmart and get a For Sale sign for a truck bed... HAD to...) And while I totally got bagged measuring my banana yesterday by my boss and had to explain what I was doing while my cheeks burned red (it was for MyFitnessPal it had the calories, but it was set up as small, medium, and large by inches!!!) I wasn't able to turn that into a whole post.

So....I decided to unload all of my pictures and show you what I have done.

Also...while my edits are totally lame...I am slowly but surely learning how to do shit in Picasa. Which means, that as soon as I get 5 seconds to sit down in front of my computer at home... I'm making Picasa my bitch.

Sunday Big A and I took a trip to BJ's. He got a membership through work and we had yet to have been. So we went. And what did I find there? Alcohol. But not just ANY alcohol. Beringers Pink Moscato. I love me some Beringers. So I bought it. And brought it over for Mama and I to try, with some fresh strawberries. Delish!

I found this gem online for N. We decided that she needed something plastic with a lid to prevent her from having some accidents whilst drinking. And then I decided I needed one too. Because how fluffing awesome is this!

After giving my father his Father's Day cards (pics are still on my comp at home...sorry Pops!) I realized that I am a bonehead and never gave my mother her MOTHER'S DAY CARDS! Yikes! So I went home, found them, and took a picture for her! She will get them someday...I hope.

For the first 3 days at the new building (and still getting used to my new hours) I would walk out to my car at 3:30 PM and realize that I parked my car like a drunk. Awesome. I felt really bad about myself and my parking abilities and hoped that Big A didn't somehow find out.

Until I came back from lunch with Mrs. C and saw this fine parking job. Then I didn't feel so bad. Haha. Nice job Asshat! You made my parking job look professional!

I have been having trouble with the temperature changes. It's like 50's-60's and then yesterday and today are wicked hot. Ridiculous. I was cold when I was leaving the house on Monday so I wore a 3/4 sleeve shirt (although it was a bomb ass Jimi Hendrix shirt...) and then proceeded to sweat my ass off outside all day. And came home with this mean farmer's tan.
This is going to look SUPER sweet in my strapless dress. Ug. Time to hit the tanning salon.

Proof that yesterday was hot as balls. Poor Big A works in an non air conditioned shop. I got a text from him yesterday afternoon with a picture of the thermostat saying it was100 degree with the caption "eff me" (although, if you know Big A, you know he didn't say "eff"). Poor guy! He put the AC in as soon as he got home last night.

And there you have it folks. Life this week.

We have a wedding on Saturday so hopefully I will have some good pics for you from that too. And hopefully I will remember to post them!!! Haha.

Don't forget Foxy Friday tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing!!!

So What! Wednesday

Happy First Day of Summer Bishes!

Before I am sent into my 16  hour long meeting (at least it feels like that) I figured I was chime in for a little So What! Wednesday, created by the ever so fabulous Shannon!

This week I am saying So What! if...

* I'm just not into work at all anymore. I mean, let's take all the bullshit out of the equation and I'm still not in it. I've got Summer fever! I should be outside working on my tan, drinking frozen drinks. Maybe someday.

* I check my mailbox DAILY for Response Cards and I used to go DAYS without checking the mail. Like, to the point where the post office made us go pick up our mail. (OK...not THAT bad, but that did happen once, but it was from the snow, not my laziness).

* I have majorly slacked on my diet/working out the past 3 days! And I FELT it yesterday. I felt absolutely disgusting.

* Despite the fact that I felt gross yesterday I STILL didn't go to the gym. I had time to go to the gym, or go grocery shopping. I figured what was the point in going to the gym if I didn't have healthy food to eat. Right?!

* I would rather stick an ice pick in my eye than go to this staff meeting. :)

* If Mrs. C hasn't had her baby yet and I'm getting impatient! COME OUT BABY C!!!

* I am SUPER amped at the thought of Big A and I going bowling for date night! I mean, there is a 90% chance that we won't go because our follow-through is HORRENDOUS but, that 10% is EXCITING! (Even though I know I am going to get my ass kicked and I will get payback for all of the gloating I do for being the undefeated champion in Mini Golf)

* I haven't played Words with Friends in DAYS. And I have like 7 games waiting for me. I'll get back into it... eventually.

* 8:00 AM is the saddest part of my day because that's when everyone else comes in and I no longer have the entire office to myself. Boooo!

Alright...I could stay here all day, but I have my super fun and exciting meeting that I have to go suffer through! Head on over to Shannon's blog and tell us what YOU are saying So What! to this week!

Holy Moly.

It was quite the weekend. I didn't expect it to all be so busy, but it was.

And I was bad. Oh so very bad. I ate and drank like crap. Seriously... my dinner on Saturday? A plate full of nachos and 2 1/2 Watermelon Margaritas.

Pretty sure that isn't on my healthy eating plan.

I need to get my shit together. Because honestly... I feel like crap.

I haven't worked out since Saturday. I have filled my body with junk. Hmm... no wonder I woke up this morning wanted to yak and hide under my covers (obviously not at the same time...ewww).

And the worst part? I was feeling SO good. Seriously. Saturday and Sunday, I looked at myself in the mirror and FELT like I looked GOOD. Better than good. GREAT even.

Today? Yuck.

But... I just need to get back on the healthy train. AND I need to go food shopping... soooo....yeah. Apparently, I am going to the grocery store covered in sweat and looking like a hobo because it is right next door to my gym...and neither can be ignored today. BOOOO.

Other than that, the weekend was pretty good. Just spending time with friends. Hanging out. Nothing too crazy.

I took pictures from Father's Day, but guess who was the genius that put them on my home computer and then did nothing with them? Yeap. That would be this guy.

I also know that I promised invitations pictures. I can't get them to come out right. My camera is half-dead and sucks, so they are either wicked white because of the flash, or blurry beyond recognition. Maybe that could become a super cool artistic style real quick so I can stop feeling like a fool who can't take a decent picture. Maybe? Think about it.

I'm playing catch up since I was off yesterday, so I know that my content is lacking today. But I will be back tomorrow when hopefully my head stops spinning from everything I need to do.

Friday's Letters

Looking to link-up for Foxy Friday? Go here!

Looking to hear my Friday's Letters? You've come to the right place.
I'm linking up with Ashley again this week. I'm relatively new to Ashley's blog, but I have to say that so far? I'm diggin' it. And you should too! Check it out!

Now on to the good stuff!

Dear Big A, when I said you should buy me a massage for before the wedding so I can be all relaxed, and you told me that I don't have the ability to relax EVER let alone before the wedding so it would be a waste of money, I wanted to pinch you really hard. You're lucky you are cute.

Dear Baby C, come out, come out, wherever you are. You should have been here two days ago. I am getting impatient. COME OUT!!!

Dear Nails, please stop breaking while I am at work without anything to fix them so that I have to spend my days looking like a hobo.

Dear Rain, while I appreciate the greeness that you have brought with you, I think that is about enough. It is time for Summer. Quit ruining my life.

Dear Landscapers, thank you so much for breaking Mr. Fresh's run by mowing over it so that I could look outside in a panic and run around screaming for him. It was super nice to see him having fun up by the busy road that we live on. You're so effing lucky he came back. And while Big A would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, I know for a fact that you run over it every time you come. Step up your game or you will get a lovely surprise the next time you come. You mess with my dog, you mess with me.

Dear Work, the fact that you are keeping me relatively busy today, is REALLY getting into my slacking off time. Fix that. Thanks.

Dear Weekend, you are the only one for me. Big A means nothing to me compared to you. (Just kidding...kinda)

Dear Bank Account, why must you mock me? Please figure out some computer error and multiply. By like... a billion? Shanks.

Dear Mr. Fresh, thanks for being the best Border Collie EVER. Seriously, you have been my homie (my dawg...hehe) for 11 years and you are pretty damn awesome. Also, thanks for putting up with that smelly man that I now call your Papa. I know he bugs you sometimes, but he means well.

Dear Lunch Time, get here so I can go meet up with Mrs. C! I think that arriving over an hour early seems to eager, so if you could just speed up a bit I would appreciate it.

Dear 300 Ab Challenge, I have been a good Doobie, but doing you every day. How about we see some stellar results? ASAP! I have my most favorite dress that I almost fit into and I am DYING to wear you next Saturday. Thanks.

Alright. That's all for today. I'm off to go kill time for the next 4 1/2 hours until I am outta here!

Foxy Friday

Down at Fraggle Rock

Hola Bishes!

Ya'll ready for another Foxy Friday?

I know I am... kinda.

I wasn't super awesome this week, but I didn't suck.

I kept my calories in check. Stayed away from the hooch, and dragged my ass to the gym.

Yeah... twice. I don't know what is wrong with me this week. I.AM.EFFING.EXHAUSTED.

Maybe it was all the fun I had last weekend catching up with me? I mean, I am getting older...maybe I can't hang like I used to.

Whatevs. I'm going to the gym today and tomorrow, so that will make 4.

I failed on the dog walks too. Between the rain and my exhaustion. Not happening.

Poor Border Collie. He'll get some fun this weekend. Promise.

I rocked the 300 Ab Challenge. Although, it doesn't KILL me like I thought it would. I was in immense pain the first time around. This time, it takes a bit to get through it, but I can walk and function like a normal human being after. I don't think I have seen a huge difference, but it has only been a week. I think I will take pics at Day 15 and compare. And then on day 30. Although... I have to fit my ass in a tiny dress next hopefully they kick in. Maybe I could do them twice a day? Haha.

I've been soda free for over a week. It is liberating. Which is a total lie, since I forgot about it until now. Whatever.

Alright, now the results. I didn't weigh myself today, because I never show anything on a Friday. BUT, the scale did give me some good news last Saturday.

Yep. That's right. 18 lbs total. Woo!!!

I am honestly... so mother fluffing excited to get down into the 150's. I haven't been in that range since Big A and I first started dating. I think I was 155 and remember thinking that I was getting fat.

Oh boy Past Kayleigh...if you knew then what I knew now. You would have known that you were NOT fat. And you would know to put down the Chicken Quesadillas once in awhile and go for a run. Which would have been a lot easier than shedding 30 lbs now.

Oh to have a time machine!

Anywho... I'm waiting to do measurements next week when I am halfway through the 300 Ab Challenge. Although, I snuck in one and I think I have already lost 1/2 an inch!!! WOO HOO!

Alright Ladies... now it is your turn.

How Foxy were you this week?

Date Night

I wasn't too sure what I was going to write about today.

To be dead honest, yesterday kicked my sorry ass and I am a bit lacking in the whole brains department today. (Yeah yeah, everyday, yeah yeah)

But, then I read Kristin's post today and the light bulb went on.

You see, today Kristin is celebrating her 4 year wedding anniversary with her husband. They have been together for a total of 10 years. And honestly, while that shouldn't be a surprise or anything abnormal it seems that long, lasting marriages are going the way of the Dodo Bird.

Figured you would want to know what a Dodo Bird looked like too!

I've been thinking more and more about this lately as we get closer to my own impending nuptials and I wonder what will happen to us. Big A and I are no stranger to struggles. We have always worked at our relationship when it needed it. We've always made each other a priority.

The truth of the matter is that although I may want to hit him with a frying pan some days, my life is a million times better with him in it, even during the bad times.

One thing that we have done to improve our relationship (and Kristin mentions it in her post today) is we have our weekly date night. Wednesday. Wednesday is OUR night. No friends. No plans. Just us and some quality time. Big A usually has Wednesdays off so it works out well that he is around when I am home and all ready (ya know after the 8 billion things we all do after work: work out, shower, clean, blah blah blah).

We don't usually plan anything for date night. Sometimes we will talk about whether we are going out for dinner, or ordering take-out, or whether I need to take something out of the freezer for dinner, but that's about as far as it goes.

Sometimes we make grand plans to order a movie, or go out and do something, but they almost never happen. To say that our date nights have been lacking lately would be an understatement. I mean, granted, it is one night  week that we make sure that we are both home for, and time together doing whatever is better than time apart, but... honestly, we have been slacking.

We may go out to dinner, or order take-out, but we have been trying to save money because of the wedding. So we do nothing. Pretty much.

Honestly, we watch TV, barely talking. Sometimes Big A is on the computer. Sometimes I am on my phone. We are together, but their isn't much quality to our time.

And we need to work on that. Seriously. Because I think that when you stop working at that quality time, is when things start to fall apart. You need to make time  for each other. Or else that's how people wake up as strangers.

We need this. Planning a wedding is stressful. All aspects of it. Just take normal life stress and then add all the stress of planning, organizing, MORE money problems. I mean, I think we are both in need of a vacation. But...we can't really afford to do much right now since we are pinching pennies. And Big A has a few more weeks until he gets some vacation time. Sometimes, I feel like you could cut the tension in the air with a knife. And it isn't really about each other... it's just life...and we are there. Ya know.

So, here's where I need you Dolls. I had bought a cheap bowling thing on Groupon which I thought would be fun. But other than that, I am at a loss for some cheap, fun date night ideas. We live in Massachusetts, so I know it would be hard to list specific ideas... but what do you and YOUR Hunnys do for dates?

We like mini-golf, but the weather hasn't been great, so we haven't had a chance to go.

So thoughts? Ideas? Opinions? Throw them all at me!

So What! Wednesday

Time for another So What! Wednesday.

If you haven't heard of Shannon, get yo ass over to her blog and check her out. She's amazing. She's funny, has a great family, and has kicked some serious booty to get  that rockin' body she has. She's my inspiration.

This week I am saying So What! if...

* I have it planned out with the Plant Lady that she is going to get me some gigantic plant to cover the half wall of my cube. Do you know how many people have A) touched the shit I have up there, B) leaned on it like a bar and "placed their order" (getting old guys), or C) just leaned over it to check out what I was doing. Rude. I don't come in your office and get all up in your business!

* I named this Summer after myself. I somehow found myself in a place where I realized that this was the last Summer that I would have my last name and I wasn't enjoying it enough. So, I decided to bring my camera with me EVERYWHERE (although it officially shit the bed last night soo...) and name the Summer, "The Summer of The Mighty Quinn" (sorry Dad, I know you hate that song heh).

* I spent a good 10-15 minutes this morning deciding if I should call out sick. It's a rainy, dreary day, and Big A has the day off. I just wanted to stay in beeeeeed.

* I did NOT take Mr. Fresh for a walk yesterday like I was supposed to. He still seemed a little worn out from our crazy weekend, so we decided to grill instead. Yes, the dog helps me grill (at least he thinks he does).

* I have a couple projects at work that I am supposed to be doing and I haven't even started. My brain is still comprehending the move. People are just going to have to wait.

* The Summer Nationals are coming up and I DREAD this time of the year. Big A goes all psycho car guy on me and disappears. Seriously... when we were first dating, he literally disappeared. He was so focused on getting his car ready that I didn't see him for like 2 weeks. I was beyond bullshit and quickly made it known that was unacceptable. He's gotten better, but it is still a super stressful time.

* Despite the fact that I hate the "prep" work for the Summer Nationals, I always have a great time there. I just wish he would be less crazy about it. But then again, he wouldn't be Big A if he was less crazy about it. He's all about his car, that's just who his. Wanna see why?

I'd like to introduce you to Big A's girlfriend. A 1969 Chevelle.
He bought the car a year or two before we started dating and with a lot of time, money, and hard work completely restored it from inside and out.
It's a hell of a car.

* I spend my evenings watching double episodes of "Veronica Mars". That show is just as good as it was 10 years ago when it was first on. And I don't remember any of the beginning, so it's like brand new.

Alright Lovers. That's all I have for today. Nosy people will be here soon and I get annoyed when I have to switch the screens back and forth when people walk by so it looks like I am working. Heh.

Head on over to Shannon's blog and link up!
