Wedding Recap: Photobooth Pictures

Awww.... it's my LAST Wedding recap post.
I'm a little sad.
I mean, I still have our Honeymoon recap, but that's not really a WEDDING recap. Ya know.
One thing that I was absolutely adamant about having at the wedding was a photobooth. I LOVED the idea. I had seen it at a few other weddings and knew I had to have it.
Plus, I knew that they gave you a copy of all of the pictures and put them in a scrapbook and had people sign it as your guest book.
Two birds with one stone? Genius.
So, while Big A was NOT a fan of it, I told him it wasn't an option. I bent a lot on what we decided on, but this wasn't something I was going to change my mind on. I knew I would regret it if I didn't do it.
With that being said, I think I was in the thing like 4 times. I was busy. Haha. BUT, it was cool to see everyone else's pictures. Although, I do have to say, I'm not quite sure what the obsession of kissing during it was. I mean, I get it, I did it too, but what is it about a photobooth that says, "Let's awkwardly hold this kissing pose for 30 seconds until it takes the picture"?
Anyway, here are a few of my favorites"
      *Jackums & B-Ry*N & Jackums*Marizzle, Pickles, & I*My Bro & My Nanny*My Mom & Dad

*Me and My Nanny*My Dad and his Friends*Most of my Bridesmaids*Me and N*Me and J$*
Two things:
1) I had a whole other set, but I was an idiot and selected 3 of the same pics as another row, so I deleted it. Bummer.
2) I was super bummed that my Nanny wouldn't dress up with me, but she would with my brother. I think she thought it would be a nice picture of us, but we had those with the photographer and that's totally not what a photobooth is for. I did get her to stick her tongue out though.
And last, but not least, my brand new HUSBAND and I.
This was the ONLY time that Big A was in the photobooth.
Isn't he handsome? Even with a shark on his head. Haha

And that's it. The wedding was over. We went upstairs to change. Hung out with some friends for a bit, and then passed the eff out from exhaustion.
I couldn't believe it was all over. Just like that. My wedding day. We would never have it back.
I was a little sad. Sad that it was over so quick. I just wanted to soak up every single moment.
The next day, we packed up the car and headed home. We stayed in bed almost all day just watching movies. We were tired. I think we may have fallen asleep for a little bit too!
But that's it. If you're just starting here now and want to torture yourself with all of the details, click on the Our Wedding tab at the top of the page and you can see everything from my post the day we got engaged (before I knew) to the very last minute.

Friday's Letters

Linking up with Ashley for Friday's Letters.
Dear Boss Man, can we stop having our Staff Meetings on Fridays? My ADD can't handle them on a normal day, let alone on a Friday. Fridays are for relaxing and doing minimal work. Duh!
Dear Boss Man, can we just cancel Staff Meetings all together? (Is there a job out there that doesn't have Staff Meetings? Well...if they were only an hour or two that would be fine. Not 6 mother fluffing hours!)
Dear Self, please try not to be a dummy today and remember to stop at the store after work. Otherwise that delicious dinner that you want to cook? Ain't happening. Frozen pizza for everyone.
Dear Snow, I'll give you this weekend. Enjoy yourself. Because honestly, as much as I want warm weather, I want the money more. (Sorry people) BUT...after this? I'm all done. Cool?
Dear Big A's Snow Plow Customers, I don't know what you expected to pay for a storm with almost 3 feet of snow, but trust me, Big A went easy on you. Also, those of you who are saying that he only went out once, maybe you should have been his wife who was sitting at home by herself for about 48 hours because he was out making sure that your driveways were plowed while you were sleeping. Ugh!
Dear Phone, the fact that your giant ugly red button is glowing indicating that I have a message, but I DON'T have a message, is bothering me. Cut it out.
Dear House, kindly clean yourself. Thanks a bunch.
Dear Self, please get your gigantic bottom back on the treadmill. I know you're tired. And I know it isn't fun. But neither is being 400 pounds and having to be lifted by a crane to get out of your house after they take the roof off. Just sayin'.
Dear Weekend, please be a good one. I don't really feel like dealing with bullshit, so let's not. OK?
Dear March, oh how I love you. You have 5 pay days. FIVE. Which means that I get an extra paycheck. That doesn't need to go to anything specific. I mean, I know that I will probably use it towards bills, but the fact is I don't have to and I like that. Also, you bring my bonus check. You might be my favorite.
That's all for today. I'm going to go spend the next six hours trying not to fall asleep. And then going home and enjoying every single minute of this weekend.

So What! Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon for So What! Wednesday!
This week I am saying So What! if...
* I defrosted chicken yesterday so that I could make something healthy, but then ended up making spaghetti and meat sauce. I just didn't want chicken. And it was cold and rainy. Whatever. Now I have defrosted chicken and I don't want to eat it tonight either.
* My patience level is completely non-existent. Seriously. It doesn't exist. I think I need a vacation. Or at the very least to check myself before I wreck myself. This ain't gonna be pretty when someone finally pushes the wrong button. Yikes.
* I would legit go take a nap in my boss' office right now if I thought for a second that I could get away with it. In fact, there's a long list of things that I would do if I thought I wouldn't get caught.
* I'm annoyed that I have to wait another 2 1/2 weeks for our couches. Seriously, this is getting old. I want them now. I also hope that they fit through the door. Haha. (What happens if they don't? I mean, what do you do?)
* Every time I hear my phone go off, I think that I got a text and get all excited. And then I realize that it was just some random junk e-mail and I get disappointed.
* I wish I had a hidden cubicle that no one knew about. I could go hide in there and not have to talk to anyone.
* This week's So What! is kind of whiny!
* Speaking of wine... I would like to chug a bottle right now. It would probably help with my nap.
* I wish I thought of Suri's Burn Book. Hysterical. Definitely makes my day!
* I had plans to make a photo book of all of our wedding pictures, but have yet to do so. It's sooooo much work. And there are sooooo many pictures. I also vowed to take more pictures so that we could have more for our regular books, but failed at that too. But then again, we don't really do anything, so how many pictures of us in out PJs watching TV can you have?
* Big A and I are supposed to go out to dinner tonight, but I'm sooooo tiiirrreeeedddd. I wish I could just get them to do take out and bring it home. Well... have Big A bring it home. I'll be on the couch, as usual.
* When Big A told me that I should get on the treadmill more because it would probably give me more energy (which is true) all my girl brain heard was "you're fat, workout...fattie".
* I'm drinking out of the sparkly Starbucks cup that Megan made me and I never want to drink out of something non-sparkly again. Ever.
* I think that sometimes a simple "thank you" or "excuse me" would go a long way. Call me old-fashioned. Whatever. I may be an asshole, but for the most part I have good manners.
That's all for today. I spent too much time writing this and not enough time stalking YOUR blogs.
Head on over to Shannon's blog and link up!
Oh and for those who asked for bigger pictures of the centerpieces, here you go. Sorry about the watermarks, I forgot to do it when I was at home and had to steal them off the photographer's website.

Wedding Recap: The Reception

Oh em gee... I can't believe we are almost done with the Wedding Recaps.
Hot damn!
Where were we...
Oh yeah...pictures.
After pictures, we got about 20 seconds of down time before it was time for us to line up. I couldn't eat, I couldn't drink. I had just made it through one of THE most stressful days of my entire life and I think it all caught up with me, in that very moment.
We all lined up, and they announced everyone...
and then it was just us...
Mr. and Mrs...
We danced to Adele's, "Make You Feel my Love", originally written by Bob Dylan.
And then it was time for speeches from the Best Man, the Maid of Honor, and my dad.

Then we got about another 20 seconds of down time. Haha.
I tried to eat, but it wasn't happening. Neither one of us really got to eat anything. There was always someone to talk to, or somewhere we needed to be. Which was fine, I wouldn't have changed anything for the world.
That's a lie... I wish I stuffed my face on the appetizers since I had been dreaming of them for months. BUT...you win some, you lose some. My night was still a win.
Then it was time for cake cutting. We behaved.
And then the Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance.
My dad and I danced to Go Radio's, "Forever My Father".
Big A and his mom danced to Artie Shaw's, "Begin the Beguine".

A quick little look at the decor. I made the program box, the card box, and the place cards myself. You can read about the boxes here. I'll do another one about the place cards because those were a project in themselves. I also made the table signs. Every table was named after a classic car. An idea I had long before we got engaged to honor Big A's obsession. I wish I had more time to make them, but something I thought was going to be super easy wasn't, and well.. I ran out of time. They looked good anyway, just not perfect. I'm sure no one noticed, but me.
I LOVE how the centerpieces came out. They were so different from what I've always seen.
The cake was gorgeous and delicious. Although, I wish they had saved the top of the cake, it isn't a huge deal. I mean... I never cared about it until they couldn't find it. Plus, who wants to eat year old cake anyway. I'm just going to go to the bakery and get a topper for our anniversary.
We also has a Memory Table. We had a bouquet of flowers and pictures of all of our loved ones that couldn't be there. Unfortunately, the table was pretty full. But, it made us feel like they were all really there with us.

Next it was time for the bouquet and garter toss. Marizzle caught the bouquet and our friend Josh caught the garter. I was secretly hoping that it would be my brother and his girlfriend, but I refused to be one of those people who set it up so obviously.
The DJ said that the farther up her leg he put the garter, the more years we would be happy together. They were good sports about it. Haha.

And after that, we were pretty much done with all of our obligations and could just enjoy the night. We tried to get everything done in the beginning so we could have some time to just chill. I feel bad that everyone was pretty much just looking for us all night because we were all over the place.
By the end of the night, I was exhausted. I hadn't eaten. My stomach hurt. I was a mess. I think absolutely every single feeling that I had suppressed all day to keep my cool, just all came back at once.
I managed to hang out with everyone for a little bit, but I was definitely ready for bed.
All in all, it was an absolutely amazing night. I couldn't believe it was over so fast. I couldn't believe that our wedding day was over and done with already and we wouldn't have it again. All that planning, the time, the stress, the worry, the money. It was all done.
And we were Husband and Wife.
It was an incredibly amazing feeling. Like, this was where I was supposed to be the whole time. I just felt my entire body relax and just KNEW I was where I was supposed to be.
Next up, Photobooth pictures. Then Honeymoon. And probably a DIY for the place cards.

Blah Blah Blah

OK... here's the deal people.
I'm over the cold.

Seriously, it is effing freezing.
It was windy as eff yesterday and I did not appreciate the weather man saying that it felt like -7.
I'm sorry. I don't do negatives. K?
And today? Blows even more.
Feels like 0?
Those are the days that I should stay in bed. In fact, yesterday... I stayed in my pjs the entire day.
Seriously, the entire day.
I eventually peeled myself off the couch to go to my parents' house for dinner (even though I was strongly considering just cancelling since it was so effing cold), and showed up in my pajamas.
It's OK though. My brother showed up in slippers and no jacket. So I just told my parents that we had given up and just to accept it.
With only 30 days until Spring, the end is in sight. I just need it to get here a little faster. OK?
And yes, that's all I'm writing about today.
Let's recap.
1. I'm cold.
2. I'm tired.
3. Getting changed out of pjs is difficult for me
4. I want warm weather.
Happy Monday folks!

Friday's Letters

Linking up with Ashley for Friday's Letters.
Ashley just announced that she is expecting a little bundle of joy in AUGUST! Make sure you stop by and tell her Congratulations!!!
Dear Readers, I apologize for no pictures from last night. I took them on our actual camera and we all know how good I am at uploading THOSE pictures. Yikes! Maybe I'll post them by next Valentine's Day!
Dear Big A, thank you SO much for an absolutely wonderful Valentine's Day. It was kind of nice not to have some kind of disaster happen this year. It was just us, the dog, and WAY too much food. Absolutely perfect.
Dear Friday, thank you so much for being in my life. I could never put into words the amount of gratitude that I feel for you. Now... if you could be super warm like yesterday, that would be amazing. I would kind of like to take a walk at lunch.
Dear Co-Workers, yes, I sneeze. Sometimes. Shit happens. I do not have the plague. Trust me, if I was sick, I would be home in bed watching Lifetime movies. Pay no attention to the woman who is actually hacking up a lung in the next office over though, she is definitely NOT sick. Oh, and PS, I really only sneeze at work, so I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to you.
Dear Self, at some point in life you should make your husband happy and actually go get your car washed. I know it seems like a waste of money since it gets shitty out so often, but he does have a point. PLUS, he kind of knows what he is talking about. AND... you LOVE car washes, and I'm sure you have gotten MUCH better at being able to line your tires up with the racks and totally won't embarrass yourself this time. Totally.
Dear Breanna, I apologize for being a jerk and not sending your gift card. To be fair, it's been in my purse for awhile. Life just have been nuts and I keep forgetting about it. Sending it today!!! (I promise! I just put it in the box and everything!!!)
Dear Face, I don't know what is up with you, but god dammit cut it out. You do NOT look good. Cut the shit. Immediately.
Dear Beach, I need you in my life. The sun on my face. The sand on my toes. The sound of the waves. You are my happy place. I am making it a VOW to make sure I get to you more often this Summer.
And that's all she wrote folks. Head on over to Ashley's blog and link up!

A Whole Lot of Nothing

Happy Freakin' Valentine's Day Lovers!
This morning was a doozy! Doozie? (I hate when I don't know how to spell made-up words)
I shut off my alarm, and woke up 5 minutes before I was supposed to be at work.
Couldn't fund ANYTHING I was looking for.
Forgot my phone and had to turn around to get it.
Slid on ice and almost crashed into a snow bank.
Traffic sucked.
And I smashed my knee on my car getting out of it.
Today was one of those days that I should have stayed in bed.
Just call me Calamity Jane.
Last night Big A and I ventured out of the house to hit up a book store. He was looking for a book on big blocks that he never found. And I got dinner. Seems like a win to me.
Then we came home and watched TV in bed. At 9:00 PM.
Now look, I know that we are pretty wild and crazy, and I'm sure that you are jealous of us, but I have to tell you...this crazy, fly by the seat of your pants lifestyle isn't for everyone. Haha
Tonight, we will continue on with our tradition of staying IN on Valentine's Day.
After a few disastrous Valentine's Day, I think we have finally got it right, although I think I just jinxed myself. Although, they are all pretty disastrous.
This is our 6th Valentine's Day. One year we went to a crowded restaurant where you had to wait over an hour to get a seat, and then they seated us at a table that was pretty much connected to every other table, it was so packed. Group Valentine's dinner anyone?
Another year, I bought us lobster tails that turned out to be bad. They were black and smelled like rancid piss. Yummm. We ate frozen pizza that year. The next year, I bought pre-cooked lobster tails, but they were gross. We have given up on the lobster tails.
And last year, we did nothing. Nothing at all. We were at my grandfather's wake all day, so that kind of takes away any time for plans...ya know.
So this year... I plan to keep it SUPER low key. I am buying us some crab legs and making some rice and veggies. And that's it. A quiet dinner at home...hopefully.
Don't worry, I have a frozen pizza just in case.
What is everyone else doing for Valentine's Day? We aren't huge on gifts. I normally give Big A some candy and a couple cards, and he buys me flowers and takes me out to dinner on a day where it wouldn't be romance suicide. Anyone do it big for V-Day?
Ohh... and public service announcement... please resist the urge to send out an e-mail to your office that says, "Happy VD!!!". While it made my morning, I'm pretty sure that it isn't the most professional of "subject" choices.

So What! Wednesday

I'm linking up with Shannon from over at Life After I Dew, for another So What! Wednesday!
This week I am saying So What! if...
* I miss the blizzard days of sitting on my couch, doing nothing, and watching 8,000 movies while snuggled under a blanket with the dog. That was THE life.
* I'm avoiding scheduling a meeting purely because the person who asked me to schedule it is driving me nuts. Seriously, you want something done from me quick? Then be super nice and tell me to get to it whenever I have time. I will do it immediately purely because you are nice and aren't pressuring me.
* I'm freezing, but won't put my coat or blanket on because the second I do a million people will walk by my desk and ask me if I'm cold. "No jackass, wearing your huge winter jacket and a blanket at your desk is the new style, get with the times!"
* I'm over February. Bring on SPRING!
* I learned the hard way that you aren't supposed to put regular ice salt on flagstone. Whoops! Lesson learned. Who knew? I sure didn't. I don't think Big A has noticed yet, but to be fair I don't think he noticed either.
* I bought myself some bagels and cream cheese to bring to work for breakfast and I am drooling over them. The only reason I'm waiting to eat it is because I don't want it to be over yet. Which I'm pretty sure is an odd reaction to bagels. I might want to think about getting some things of substance in my life to make me happy...not bagels...
* I literally would do ANYTHING right now to be able to take a nap. I'm exhausted. Ex-hausted.
* I wore jeans to work because I just couldn't be bothered to find a work outfit. I got out of bed and actually made it to work. That's enough effort for today.
* I just sent out the meeting invitation out of fear of another 30 minute phone call. Ugh.
* I still haven't got a card or present for Big A for Valentine's Day. We don't usually do much, but we do a little something. Maybe I'll go get that over with today.
* I'm a little excited that I get our normal date night tonight and then a bonus one tomorrow. Not to mention our dinner OUT for Valentine's Day that we haven't scheduled yet. :)
Alright, that's enough for today. Bagels are calling my name and I need to go back to screening my phone calls. Last time I let my guard down they got me!
Head on over to Shannon's blog and link up!

Wedding Recap: Posed Pictures

Oh hey! Guess who decided to get off her ass and finally get back to the wedding recaps?
I figured since we were almost hitting the 6 month mark, that I should get my bottom on the move.
I know have all the pictures put together to finish the recaps. AND the honeymoon recap. So that means that sometime in the next 6 months I can finally show you our house!
I know you're impressed. Haha.
If you want to see the rest of the recaps, just click on the tab that says OUR WEDDING, and you should be able to see more than you would ever want to know about our Engagement, Wedding Festivities, and Our Wedding!
Now... after the ceremony, we had about 5 seconds to breathe before it was time to take pictures. The only thing that I didn't like was that people kept walking through where we were taking pictures and it was hard to keep focused with everyone around.
Plus it was a little uncomfortable to do the 6,000 kissing shots with a crowd. Haha.
Anyway... here we go.
Big A's family, now my inlaws. His sister, mother, and father. LOVE them!
My family. My brother, grandmother, dad, and mom.
Then it was time for the Bridal Party pictures.
Big A looking like a Pimp with all of his ladies.

Queen for a day. (Sorry Pags got cut out on the side. I think it was just from the collage. Although I'll have to go back and check because that would suck if he was cut out of the real picture.)
Then it was time for just Big A and I to take pictures.
Totally stole this idea from someone else.
I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and Google looking up some fun ideas for the pictures. Like I've probably said before, I told the photographer that I wanted ART. Not just random, awkward, posed pictures. I wanted something that I would be honored to hang up in my house. Ya know.
I think she did a pretty awesome job! LOVE her. Now I just can't wait to get the pictures so that we can finally hang them up!
Alright loves. That's all for today. There's still the Reception, Photobooth pictures, and the Honeymoon. And then, that's all she wrote!
I can't believe that it was almost 6 months ago. Time FLIES!

Weekend Recap: The Blizzard of 2013

I apologize for the delay in posting folks.
I am alive and well. We did survive the Blizzard of 2013 WITH power the entire time (holler!).
It's just, apparently today is the day that I am supposed to have 3 hour phone conversations with everyone and their mother... so it has been hard to write.
They closed my office on Friday, which was nice since I originally had the day off. So, I didn't have to use a vacation day, but the bad news was my plans got cancelled. The snow was starting already around 10:00 so it was smarter to just call it a day and stay home.
Friday afternoon Big A came home from work and it was a mad dash to get everything ready. My car went into the garage. He somehow managed to fit his truck underneath the house. It was a garage a billion years ago, but since they changed the standards it isn't considered a legal garage anymore.
Which makes sense since it could barely fit the truck. But whatever. I was asked to take a picture. Haha.
Big A left early Friday night to head out plowing and didn't get back until almost 1:00 AM. He slept for a couple of hours and then headed back out again. Pretty much all day on Saturday. And then went and did some clean-ups on Sunday. It was nuts.
I sat at home and made sure the couch didn't float away. I did a great job at it. Haha. YAY me!
Poor Mr. Fresh didn't know what to do with all of this snow. It says that we got about 20.5" of snow, but that was at 9:00 AM Saturday morning and it was still snowing then I believe. Plus, the fact that I was in it up to my hips tells me that it might have been a little bit deeper. But maybe that's just me.
I let Mr. Fresh go to the bathroom on the driveway because it was the only place that was low enough. Big A was super sweet and borrowed his dad's snow blower yesterday to make a little area for him outside. The snow is higher than Mr. Fresh is tall. It's pretty comical. I'll have to get a picture of it.
Here's a couple I did get:
Most of the fence around the pool is covered:
It's hard to see in this picture, but those are our stairs going down to the driveway. The snow it almost up to my hips. It's insane.
You can't even tell that there's a hill here. It's all covered in snow and the wind pretty much evened it out. Haha.

I got a little bored this weekend and decided to drink a bit of the Blogger kool aid.
First, I started out by ordering the Lenore scarf from Kiki La Rue. I've been dying for it forever and they finally posted a couple online since it had been sold out. So I scooped one up. So far I'm impressed with their customer service. Hope the product is just as good.
Second, I decided to try something a little different and do the whole "one nail different" mani. I kind of like it. It takes black nails that originally looked a bit goth and made it a bit more fashionable. I went for a sparkly raspberry color to give it a little pop.

And that's about it for my weekend. I'm pretty heartbroken that I'm not still sitting on my couch watching a bunch of movie by the fire, but I guess I had to return to work sometime, right?
They are talking more snow for this weekend and I'm really hoping it isn't true. We got our snow. We made a bunch of money. I'm all set. We have nowhere to put anything.
Maybe if it melts a whole bunch, we could have another 3-6 incher in March and then let's bring on the Spring! Cool? Cool.

Holy Snow Batman

So apparently Massachusetts is getting hit with a whole shit load of snow.
Don't believe me? Check this out:
That seems a bit extreme, right?
I'm also hearing 18 - 24 inches.
That's still 1 1/2 to 2 feet.
Woah man. We have been asking for snow, but good LORD, it didn't need to be this all at once! Haha.
BUT... we will take it. Big A has a LONG weekend ahead of him, and I definitely have a long weekend of hanging out with the dog. Haha.
I told N that we should totally have a Blizzard slumber party since we will both be hanging by ourselves, but neither one of us wants to be the one to leave their house. Sooo... we are just going to Facetime and watch the same shows so it SEEMS like we are together.
I kid. That might be somewhat creepy.
I'm totally cool with the snow though. As long as it warms up soon and melts some of it. And then we can get a couple more SMALL (yet plowable) storms and then bring on the Spring!
Everyone cool with that? Good!
That's all I got for today. Super interesting I know. But that's pretty much all that's going on around here! Haha.

So What! Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon from "Life After I "Dew" for So What! Wednesday.
This week I am saying So What! if...
* I am done with this week already. And kind of this month. And definitely this season. I need warmth and sunshine. Although our bank account doesn't hate the foot of snow we are supposed to get on Friday.
* I rotate wearing two pairs of work pants each week (with some rogue jeans on non-jean days - I'm such a rebel). I hate shopping for work clothes. It's no fun. So I don't. I wonder if people just think I'm a Hobo.
* I finally got in a good workout last night and my body paid for it last night and this morning. Apparently I am more out of shape than I thought. Awesome.
* I would rather wear blankets and sweatshirts than buy more oil. Too bad we wouldn't have any hot water though. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I'm agreeing to it. Haha.
* The fact that some random woman who goes out of her way every morning to make sure I am sitting at my desk (when we have nothing to do with each other) drives me absolutely insane. I know I shouldn't let shit like this get to me, but WTF...why???
* I'm pretty sure I'm the grumpiest person alive today. I'm tired and I don't feel good. And people keep talking to me. Blech.
* I want to plaster posters all over the building telling people that if they are sick then to stay home. Nothing we do here can't be done from home. Still need to get work done? Do it from home. No one wants your germs. And no one wants to listen to you sniffle and hack up a lung all day long either.
* I listen to Macklemore's Thrift Shop every single day. It makes me happy. I HAVE to watch the video too. It cracks me up every time. Haven't heard it yet? You should. It's amazing.
You're welcome.
* My favorite time of the day is from 7:00 - 8:00 AM when no one is here. It's glorious. Except for today when I was 20 minutes late and everyone and their mother was here. Blech.
Alright, I'm sure you guys have had enough of my whining. Now head on over to Shannon's blog and link up!

Tuesday Ramblings

We have like 8,000 people visiting at the office, which means my normal quiet existence has been filled with constant chatter.
Due to the fact that I am largely anti-social unless there's a bottle of wine in my hand, this is difficult. Although, a co-worker did bring me in a bottle of wine this morning. I wonder if anyone would notice if I drank it.
Well...they would probably notice how friendly I am and that would probably tip them off. Whoops.
I'm not quite sure why RIGHT next to my desk seems to be the stopping point for people to chat, but apparently I am the place to be. And the fact that everyone is loud, everyone else has to talk loud to get their voice heard over them.

Really, it is a whole lot of fun.
Apparently I am grumpy today. What else it new.
I in a bit of denial that is is February. I mean, where the hell did January go? And next week is Valentine's Day. Which means we will be halfway through February. Weird.
I'm getting the feeling that this year is going to fly by, like last year did. I figured we had so much going on last year and that's why it went so fast. Apparently it is just what happens now. I mean, we have almost been married for 5 months.
5 months. That's almost half a year. WTF?! Ridiculous.
Where does the time go?
I should probably finish our wedding recaps, huh? I JUST got our wedding pics in the mail. I mean, not our professional ones, those we are still waiting for, but at least it is something. Which means I can finally start to put some pictures in the collage frames that we have on the walls.
Speaking of walls...today is our two months of owning those walls (and the rest of the house). It already feels like home. I think it was meant to be. I never get used to places so easy! Haha. I remember that about two weeks after we lived there I drove home from work on auto-pilot and didn't really think about it until I pulled into the driveway. I realized I was home, I didn't think about the apartment. I just went home.
We are looking forward to it warming up outside so we can actually use the yard. And grill. And use the pool when it is warm. Oy. Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere that it was warm all year round. I mean, I would like it to snow around Christmas, but other than that, I'm all set.
But, alas, Massachusetts is where it is at (apparently) and this is where we will stay.
On the workout front, I've been on the treadmill a bunch of times which is great. Unfortunately, I'm a big pansy and just walk the entire time. I mean, it is better than nothing. I walk for about an hour and usually get about 3 miles in. 300-400 calories burned depending on if I have it on a incline that day. But it isn't really doing much for me. I can't decide if I want to start the Couch to 5K all over again, or if I want to do an incline work out thing.
I know the Couch to 5K worked to get me into shape before, but I reached the point where I was running for two 10 minute intervals and it was painful to get through. Not so much physically, but mentally. I got bored. I mean, you can only run so far staring at the same spot on the wall before you remember that all you have to do is press stop and go do something interesting.
So who knows.
I'm taking a break from my Jillian Michaels Kick Boxing DVD (even though I LOVE it) because it always seems to make my back go out of whack. I mean, I can feel it being all wonky while I am doing the moves and then the next day it is Bad News Bears.
I'll find a solution. But, I hope it is soon because I'm sick of feeling like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. I would like to get back to feeling somewhat good about myself. Ya know.
Alright, that's enough rambling for the day. I'm outta here. Adios.

Friday's Letters

Exhausted today. But then again...when am I NOT tired? I'm sure that I could sleep for three days and still complain about being tired.
Because otherwise...I'd have to find something else to complain about. Heh.
A little housekeeping... Don't forget to enter the 100th Follower Giveaway that I'm hosting with Leah and Megan! It ends Monday morning at 12:00 AM, and then we will announce the winner. (Winner has 24 hours to respond and then a new winner will be chosen!)
Anywho, time for Friday's Letters brought to you by Ashley over at The Sweet Season!
Dear February, welcome! Nice of you to join us. A little quicker than I anticipated, but you are here nonetheless. I would like to apologize for being incredibly boring already. You will be a month of healthy eating, exercise, and possibly no drinking. I would like to enter March with slightly less junk in the trunk. I'll do my best to keep you fun though. WAH!
Dear Self, it's about fucking time you got back on the train. Those pounds you gained after the wedding aren't cute. And are quite the slippery slope. Get it together or find yourself 30 pounds heavier and miserable. Your choice. (PS...remember you have a pool now. Wanna look like Shamu at the pool over the Summer? Didn't think so)
Dear Work, OMG why must you be so boring. Seriously, let's have something exciting happen. Like..."Hey there, you won the Best Employee Award...here's a bagillion dollars!!!"
Dear Buckwild, I am so excited that you were new last night and I can't WAIT to watch you!!! Also, I apologize for being so obsessed with you. I just think if I was like 6 years younger and lived in WV we could be friends. Heh.
Dear Spring, I neeeeeeeed you. I need your sunshine. I need your warmth. These past couple days of almost 60 degrees were magical. Ya know...minus the insane wind that knocked out our power for 8 hours.
Dear Dogbert, sorry you have been stuck in the house so much, but it has just been too damn cold. At least we got outside for a little bit yesterday! Warm weather is coming Buddy! Almost there, and then you have a nice BIG back yard to enjoy.
Dear Big A, let's find a way to build the fence in the backyard for Bert, pay down some debt, AND still pay our bills. It's a crazy idea, but it might just work, right?!
Dear People at Work who Shall Remain Nameless, are you aware that it is completely apparent at how fake you talk. I mean honestly, when you are walking down a hallway talking like a normal person and then run into your boss and all of a sudden get this sing-song, almost baby-like voice? Do you think people don't notice that? Ugh. Be real please.
Dear Weekend, I'm going to enjoy every single second of you. Please go nice and slow.
Dear Un-named Sporting Event this weekend, we all know who SHOULD have been in you. I'm not bitter. Although I will say that if we can't be in it, I hope we beat some birds...just sayin'.
Alright lovers, that's all for today. Smooches and have a good weekend.
Winner of the 100th Follower Giveaway announced on Monday!!!
