Friday's Letters

I've been wishing for this day all week. I can't WAIT to sleep in tomorrow. And while it was lovely having Big A home all weekend last weekend, I will enjoy the bed to myself tomorrow morning when he goes to work. Well...the dog is in the bed too, but he stays on his own side.
I was planning on posting a giveaway yesterday, but I got called into a meeting like 5 second before. No lie. I came back to my desk and had a voicemail that asked me to join a 9:00 AM meeting. It was 8:57 AM. Yeah. The meeting was great, but kind of put a damper on my plans for the day. So I'll be posting it Monday.
Let's move on to Friday's Letters shall we?
Dear Self, oh em gee you killed it with dinner last night. Seriously. It was amazing. And those fresh ingredients (some you grew in your very own garden) made ALL the difference. I didn't think it would, but OH MAN. I see a big garden in your future for next year!
Dear Big A, I'm looking forward to our time off together in a couple weeks. I know it is only a couple days, but we have some fun stuff planned. I'm also looking forward to our anniversary dinner on Sunday. Lobster ravioli is calling my name!
Dear House, we need to get started on your to do list now that there's a baby on the way. However, there's a whole lot to do and it is going to cost a whole bunch of money. So maybe you could just perform some magic and do it yourself? Sound good.
Dear Allergies,  seriously? Fuck you. I can't breaaaaaaaaaathe.
Dear Alcohol,  I miss you more than I would like to admit. I dream of a cold, sweet glass of wine. A nice, fruity, Sangria. An ice cold beer on a warm day. 6 more months. I can do this.
Dear KG, thanks for always going on adventures with me. And helping me find great deals. A perfect basket for newborn pictures (we plan ahead) for $5? Done. A cool frame for update pictures for $10? Beautiful. I love it.
Dear Work, I've been trying REALLY hard lately. I've been trying to get here on time. I've been working overtime. I've been working hard on projects rather than day dreaming. How about you recognize that and give me what I want? Cool? Cool.
Dear Fall Weather, I big puffy heart you. I think the lack of ability to function in hot weather kind of ruined the end of the Summer. Plus, it wasn't really THAT hot so you couldn't swim or anything. I'm ready for cozy sweatshirts, the smell of campfire, hot chocolate. Let's do this.
Dear Mr. Fresh, I know that you love me SOOOOO much, however... we need to work on this whole walking around the house thing. Believe it or not, I can do it a whole lot easier if I don't have a 50 lb Border Collie leaning against my leg the entire time. It's sweet that you want to walk together, but let's just have some space. We can cuddle when we are sitting. Deal?
Dear Big A, I can not believe that our one year anniversary is on Sunday. This year has FLOWN by. I remember this day last year like it was yesterday. The excitement. The nerves. It was such an amazing time. I wish that we could do our wedding over and over again. Not the planning part, or the drama part, but the us part. It was such an amazing time. And spending an entire week with you on Martha's Vineyard for our honeymoon? Amazing. You are just my best friend in the whole wide world and I can't believe that you're all mine. I can't wait to grow old and wrinkly and fat and forgetful with you. I am so looking forward to all of the wonderful memories that we will have. You were an amazing boyfriend, fiancé, and now husband, and I can't wait to watch how amazing you are as a father. I know that this kid will just be the luckiest babe in the world, kind of like how I'm the luckiest girl in the world. I love you so much!
I'm going to leave off with that one. I don't think anything can top that one. Have a fabulous weekend everyone. Don't forget to come back on Monday for the giveaway.

  1. Whoa, happy almost one year! That is insane, you just got married. Also, can you come grow my non-existent garden too, kthxbai

  2. Your sinuses could be extra swollen because of the pregnancy, that happened to me at the beginning. I called and talked to the OB about what I was still allowed to take because I was so scared to take any medicine besides Tums.

One year, so hard to believe! Our anniversary is on the 22nd and we're going to Florida for a week. Enjoy your lobster ravioli, that's one of my favorite foods too! I can't wait to have some surf and turf at the beach!

  3. Im not ready for fall yet. I love it, but I'm loving summer since I have a pool in the backyard now hahah

Coco is a leaner too. 100 pound leaner will catch you off guard some times. We have friends that have a great dane that is a leaner. You have to use one leg to support yourself hahaha BIG BOY!

:) the letter to your husband was probably the sweetest thing I've read on your blog!! Happy early one year anniversary! A house & a baby in one year!

  4. Happy Anniversary a couple of days early!!!! I can't believe it was a year ago! Crazy! And I love that you plan ahead. I can't wait to see how adorable this baby of yours is going to be! I can already see him or her all dressed up in skulls, haha! And Mr. Fresh is just testing your motherly patience, haha! He is preparing you for what is to come!
